Database Administrator is needed to perform the following duties:
- Define the technical infrastructure environment using MySQL.
- Design programs and implement the database in accordance to end users information needs and views.
- Manage database servers and data to ensure availability, consistent performance and security.
- Test the security level and add/implement security level based on requirements.
- Work on Deployment of the database on the production environment.
- Assist developers with schema development, procedures and optimization.
- Use high-speed transaction recovery techniques and backup data.
- Provide proactive and reactive data management support.
- Maintain data security, high availability and disaster recovery on the production databases.
- Determine, enforce and document database policies, procedures and standards.
- Perform tests and evaluations regularly to ensure data security, privacy and integrity.
- Monitor database performance, implement changes and apply new patches and versions when required.
- Review and test the databases and programs, find the bugs and correct them, and make necessary modifications.
- Establish and maintain databases for user testing and production with direction.
- Writing queries used for front-end applications (websites, desktop applications, or cloud apps).
Bachelor’s Degree is required in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or Information Technology.
